Foxconn, a supplier for Apple, has invested $500 million in Telangana to build its first plant, creating 25,000 jobs in the first-phase. The facility is a commitment to delivering high-quality products in the global expansion plan of Foxconn Interconnect Technology. The Covid pandemic severely impacted Foxconn’s production in China and the supply chain of Apple, leading them to diversify investment destinations outside China. Recently, Foxconn purchased a large plot of land on the outskirts of Bengaluru in line with their plan. Apple also plans to manufacture AirPods in India.
